There's been a lot of talk lately, mostly because the game unlocks in less than two hours. So let us have a thread.
I'm planning to run BROland Roland, mostly because I accidentally shoot teammates quite often, so healing them is awesome. My current party consists of myself, Sora (who is rarely free), Vultanphase (friend with new computer, will be playing TF2 with us soon), and one of my friends from college, who will very rarely be online. So I need people to hang with when everyone's busy, which seems to be quite often.

Might get the game in a week or two. I want to know what every one else thinks.

If nobody can join your game, you need to set up port forwarding on your router. Firstm you need to make sure your router is assigning static IP addresses: portforward.com/networking/staticip.htmThen, you can set up Port Forwarding. portforward.com/routers.htmThe ports you need to forward are: 7777 (TCP/UDP) 28900 (TCP) 27900 (UDP) 28910 (TCP) 6500 (UDP) 9989 (UDP) I have it sorta set up on mine. Two of my friends were playing with me, we got up to Level 12 or so. Add me - GameSpy handle: FadedOasis.

So. Much. Framelag. Any ideas? :<
EDIT: To clarify, I'm running an E8500@3.16GHz with a 9800-GX2 in SLI mode. I doubt my hardware is the problem.

People keep sending me friend requests when I'm in the middle of a fight, so I keep hitting Esc to get the damned window out of the way.
If you added me and I'm still not on your list, sorry. Add me again. GameSpy:FadedOasis.

tyty :3 Turns out the Unreal Engine's horribad netcode was partly to blame, but I tried some of this and it seems to have unfucked it enough to play.

just finished me first playthrough (medic roland), can't wait to start my second. Medic tree is awesome, stat + aid station + cauterize means no one in my party goes without health for more than like two seconds.
i can't find a good shotty though. all the ones i've found have either shit damage or shit accuracy, or take so long between shots that i backpedal across the entire map before i can kill one midget psycho. And i'm still using this ancient Hyperion 70 dmg combat rifle because it has got acid and doesn't suck at long range. I am not good at looting apparently.

Dur.... Looked every where for it last night (I don't have enough bandwidth spare this month to download it) and still can't find it. I'm still going to get it as soon as I can, but that may mean waiting a week for mailorder or untill the stores around here get another shipment. I may buy it on steam and download it at a freinds house but I don't know which of my Dad's laptops would be best for that and which he would let me use.

Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer save files? I have to wipe my system and install windows 7 and i dont want to lose my 44 soldier -_-. Also which steam file is it that has all your stuff in it? (Phev and Jeziah mentioned it once)

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps
copy that file to an external hard drive (the entire thing, including subdirectories and game cache files) and you won't have to reinstall games.
Save data and .ini's (your configs and stuff) seem to be saved here, along with Borderland's binaries:
C:\Users\Yo\Documents\My Games\Borderlands
where you replace "Yo" with your windoze username.
this is all windows 7 so the directories might be slightly different or something. Also, i haven't actually checked to see if copying save files works but i see no reason why it wouldn't.

Note: 64-bit OSes use C:\Program Files (x86)\* for any 32-bit applications, including Steam.

Breaking news! My friend has fixed the pesky port forwarding problem. Just go to www.gameranger.com/Download it, make an account and then you are free to host/ play in games! It works sort of like Hamachi i think, but we were able to play multiplayer with it without me portforwarding. Add me: Cheesecakenomnoms

I hear the PC version is having a glitch where it only shows up to four lines of any guns info. Aparently there is a comunity fix somwhere (I'm going to hunt it out, back up the files it changed, and if a later update fixes it just move the backups back in before I get it). When Clap Trap is about to open the gate for you to leave Fyrestone he gets shot. The female entity who first spoke to you on the bus says "Would you koindly give him a hand" and then for the rest of the game you do everything she says.
And the name of the company that is after the treasure in the vault.... Atlas

Unfortunately, I suspect they're setting up for the DLC/sequel.

I hear there will be some zombie DLC on the 24th. Only problem being that the articles only mention 360 and PS3 release and don't even mention it coming to the computer.
