2009 Oct 09 - Reminder about some server functions

Below are some helpful server functions that you should know, with some basic guidelines that I assumed everybody followed.

nextmap - Used to see what the next map is, if the vote has occurred. Please use this before nominating.

nominate - Used to nominate a map you would really like to play. Please do not over-use this, and do not use if the mapvote has already occurred.

rtv or rockthevote - Used to get off of a broken or disliked map. Please do not use it to stop teams from winning. I got three messages about this recently. It is called a dick move, and dick moves have been kickable/bannable offenses in the past.

timeleft - Used to see how much time is left in the map or how many rounds are left. If you think the map is going a long time, please use this command before rocking the vote.

Also, I apologize to anyone who I yelled at, but I tend to be pretty grumpy when being woken up to the sounds of people complaining about someone being a dick. And my pounding headache didn't help things either.

And now I can't get back to sleep. Fuck.

I use a TV tuner. Basically, my PC is a TiVo, so it needs to be on whenever anything is scheduled to record. Besides, I need to keep Steam open in case the server crashes or someone is blatantly cheating/being mean/whatever. I just wish people in our community wouldn't be dicks.
