Who else is reading this amazing work of art? www.mspaintadventures.com/ takes you to page 1 of Homestuck, the latest and greatest story yet. Use the Save Game or Auto-Save features.

I have been reading this amazing work of art. I read through problem sleuth when it was still on chapter 10 (I think) and I caught up just in time for the ridiculously long (and awesome) final boss battle. I really like the music in homestuck and think all the music contributors are pretty cool guys. I even went so far as to warn people about stairs in the middle of TF2 matches. Of course the old jailbrake was my favourite for some reason.

Am I missing something? I can't get it to accept any characters.

The input is decided on the forum, and the story progresses. Click the link under the fake input box. It should say:

Oh I get it now. Woulda been nice if they'd made that a little more obvious, but it's a cool concept.

I guess it's more obvious with his older stories that tried to have multiple branches. They ultimately became confusing to both make and read, though, which is why they are unfinished.

I still read it, but I'm way less enthused about this than I was Problem Sleuth. The sounds, animations and interactivity are all nice, but the story is kind of boring thus far.

Ya, this one is definetely not as good as PS was... But it's getting better, and a lot of the recent animated scenes are good enough that you shouldn't really care if PS was funnier or had a more interesting storyline; Homestuck by itself, all comparisons aside, is more than good enough for my enthusiasm

Thanks for wasting my time, guys. I just spent the last couple of days getting up to speed with Homestuck, and now you say that Problem Sleuth is better? Well, now I have to go read that too. :C

Problem Sleuth was astounding. Some parts were a bit tangential, but I like that sort of thing mixed in with my humor.

It is only a thirty of forty minute read (I think I got through it in thirty), but I like it more than homestruck and bardquest (not as much as PS though).

I'm only halfway through homestruck, but I noticed I've been reading it as a D&D-style story, rather than an adventure game. I was quite disappointed when I found out the writer wasn't really taking options from the forums, though I can understand why. I'm surprised he doesn't identify the people who tend to give sensible/amusing answers and just draw from that group.

He *is* taking options from the forums. There's even a thread for "he used my idea!" He does occasionally add a command of his own to help them push the story in the right direction, though.

Hahahargh... This has come some way, for better or worse. Personally, I'm chalking it down as a bit worse since Alternia, but I’m still reading. Anyone else managed to stick with this bumpy ride?

I stopped reading when Andrew started giving the trolls character, and making the story about them, and still expecting us to remember each of the twelve trolls by their chat initials. It was fine for the first four characters, but I just can't juggle all that info around and still have it mean anything. I mean, this was freaking amazing, but I really couldn't keep track of much of what was going on after it.

Well, the music albums are still good, and SBaHJ is still great, but the comic has been crashing ever so slowly into a mire of what ever it is you fin in mires. Bugs and mud and shit.
I was looking for a thread about D&D that I thought was around here somewhere (didn't find it) when I saw this, I thought it was an interesting thread to bring back a query for its dark secrets.

Spoilers?
I think it's entered the atmosphere and started burning off excess chaff since characters starting dying off.
Also: I'm trying to think of a way to tell Faded that it's become less cumbersome without implying minor character death but I'm coming up blank.
In any event, it's kind of interesting and I'm along for the ride, although I'm not so sure (read: NO CLUE) where it's going. Also the flash "games" are a little annoying because they take so long to go through.

Every thing in the above post is true, although I do appreciate the Earthbound style graphics and music in the mentioned game segments. I’ve found myself waiting a day and then searching out fan-written recaps when the bigger seeming game-updates roll around.

I agree, the throwbacks to the 16-bit RPGs are pretty awesome. They totally reused some assets from Secret of Mana as well.
