This thread is for people to expose themselves as weak, and reveal the things that Steam has compelled them to buy throughout the sales of late. I am particularly guilty.
Defense Grid: The Awakening Evil Genius Oddworld Pack (gift for a friend) Lumines + Lumines Advanced Pack Mirror's Edge Safecracker: The Ultimate Puzzle Adventure STALKER: Clear Sky
And for the total 9 games that I can now play (the friend sent me a gift also including two games, whoo!), I paid $22.43 total. And I'm still bargain hunting. What the hell.

King's Bounty: Armored Princess, Machinarium.
I've been trying very hard to avoid overspending lately. I also bought a crapton of games recently for various reasons and have way too much. Wayyyy too much.

Ghostbusters x2 Lumines + Lumines Advanced Pack Torchlight Evil Genius Far Cry 2 Jade Empire Red Faction: Guerilla STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
Spent about $50 myself and I had already bought Mirror's Edge during the it's previous sale and The Last Ruminant when it was on sale right before the Christmas sale. I'm quite guilty. =(

Bioshock is $4.99 today. Someone ruined the ending for me, so I'm not getting it, but still, I thought others should know.

I bought, played and finished And Yet It Moves. Wonderful game. A little short, but that's okay, it doesn't need to be long. Everyone needs to buy it.
Bought and have been playing Cogs. Good puzzle game. Move the tiles to make the ones with gears or steam pipes on them line up.
Picked up the Puzzle Indie pack, beat Chains. Decent game. Haven't touched the other 3 games yet.
Got the "Ben There, Dan That / Time Gentlemen, Please!" pack, started to play the first game. Point-and-click adventure, I got about 5 minutes in. Went to Zombie Cow's site, the first game is actually free. If you want it, go find it.
Zombie Driver was cheap and looked fun. Haven't tried it yet.
No time for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Oh, and Mirror's Edge. A couple months ago I played the, uhm, "DRM-Cleaned Super-Extended Demo, Eyepatch-and-Pegleg Edition" courtesy of some very nice people known only as IP addresses. Had a lot of fun with it, but never finished it. Got stuck on one section, decided to play something else. Figured $5 was worth the game, even though I detest supporting EA.

Mini review for Bioshock!
The dramatic reveal at the end of the third act is one of the best in videogames, and the ambient storytelling through the audio tapes is incredibly compelling (the only unfortunate downside being that you have to hunt around for them to get the whole story). Ultimately, the atmosphere and the background are what make Bioshock so great; the actual story is decent, although the ending is pretty cheesy. The gameplay is also pretty good so long as you don't rely too much on the vita-chambers, in which case it falls flat and rings hollow. It also scales enemies in a somewhat obvious manner, which I find stupid. (I would prefer an old-fashioned palette swap any day, but I digress.)
If you don't want to play it, at the very least do yourself a favor and watch the cutscenes on youtube. I would still recommend actually playing it, however, because listening to the audio diaries telling the fall of Rapture while soaking in the aftermath is incredibly worthwhile.
Edit: Regarding EA...they've been pretty good lately, between repealing their draconian DRM and install-limit and letting their devs work, as well as establishing out new IPs (see: Bioware's games, Dead Space, Brutal Legend, Mirror's Edge, Spore). Also Dante's Inferno is HILARIOUS. They're being so dead serious about all the crazy stuff going on that they've skipped the facepalm zone and gone straight to B-movie awesomeness.

They still have activation limits on Mass Effect and Spore, and they haven't removed the SecuROM from all their titles, so I'm still (mostly) boycotting them. It's not like I'm going to miss most of their games anyway. (Oh no, I can't play this year's sports game that didn't change anything but a few numbers since last year, and I won't be able to play Valve games on the 360.)

Mass Effect is pretty awesome, and it's a damn shame it got brought down by getting caught up in the SecuROM/activiation limit controversy.
Anyhow, I suppose "repealing" was the wrong choice in words there. What I meant was AFAIK, they've stepped off the DRM for this year's releases, which is a step in the right direction.
Also they just fired a bunch of people and as much as I dislike some of their practices I would rather not have them disappear altogether, especially in the midst of a new-IP frenzy. It probably won't come to that, but I don't feel bad about supporting them. (Not that I would go out of my way, of course...)

It'll take some time for me to get the bitter taste of suck out of my mouth with respect to buying anything with the letters "EA" slapped on it, but they are getting better with broadening their IP and being slightly less draconian than before. As for the downsizing, I can understand ruthlessness at that level, but that combined with the fact that they're still generally formulaic and mediocre... still not a FaN. [/hijack] Imma buy me some games tonight. :3

May get Empire total war. Other than that, I got Torchlight as a gift and I'm content with that. Not many games that I really want right now.

Faded got me AYIM and it was sweet. Super short, but sweet. Scrambles, I haven't played Borderlands, but I never seem to see people playing it. If you're doing it for the group experience, you're better off sticking to L4D2 (oh, and TF2 I guess), but I don't know if that's an indictment of the game as a whole.

My brother in law got me Torchlight (delightful waste of time) and Samorost2 (pretty artstyle point-at-every-part-of-the-screen-and-click-and-watch-me-fail puzzle).
I have bought nothing. I will continue to do so until maybe Lost Planet 2 and it's giant salamandery goodness.

Just recently bought the THQ pack, so many games, for $50. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Full Spectrum Warrior, Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers Titan Quest Titan Quest: Immortal Throne Company of Heroes Dawn of War Gold Dawn of War: Dark Crusade Dawn of War Gold: Winter Assault Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights Dawn of War: Soulstorm Frontlines: Fuel of War Saints Row 2 Warhammer® 40,000™: Dawn of War® II Red Faction: Guerrilla Red Faction Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor Red Faction II Even though i might never play some of these games, its worth the fifty bucks just for all three CoH games. I just thought this was a really good deal. ;D
