So, I was given this game by one of my brother-in-law's friends (who I don't really know, but whatever) and I'd really rather not make an ass out of myself with people I don't know.
I've been playing the single player, but are there things I need to set up? The voice menu specifically looked confusing.
Also, are there 6 of us that have this? I've seen Whatsit playing from time to time, but ^^ above for why I don't hop in and ruin his games.

Pff mostly when I play it's just jumping into random games. Which is a lot more interesting than solo. Let me know next time you see me on and I'll come join you.
Noone really ever uses the voice menu. Maybe just remember v-2-3 for 'Thanks'. Voice comms more or less works.
For multiplayer: stick with your team. Stick to normal games till you get something to level 2 or so -- you get massive bonuses for leveling. Plus on normal most people suck anyways so you've got nothing to lose. Oh, 'B' drops $50, and '\' drops your weapon.

Sorry, I meant voice comms looked confusing. Is it PTT? Since V is bound to a voice menu job piece, I'd probably switch that to get it similar to TF2. I was just looking at the voice comms page, and there were all kinds of windows and boxes and things, and I got intimidated and left it alone.

O tbh idt I've ever looked at it. It's just PTT like TF2 afaik.
edit: With three acronyms already I figured I might as well go all out. Less obnoxious version follows.
Oh. To be honest I don't think I've ever looked at it. It's just push-to-talk like Team Fortress 2, as far as I know.
