Imagine it reflected in the tear-stained eye of a bald eagle!

Do eagles have tear ducts? I doubt any birds do. I would think all that wind up in the sky would constantly irritate their eyes to a point of tears. What do I know about birds (or tear ducts)?

so, i thought i would whip out some of my nerd-dom here.
Birds do not necessarily have tear ducts, but they do have three eyelids. An upper and lower eyelid, the lower being more maneuverable, and another a nictitating membrane. This nictitating membrane is between the other eyelids and the cornea, it has its own lubricating duct that cleans the eyes. So basically the nictitating membrane cleans and protects the eyes; they are also see through.

Maybe it was Uncle Sam's tear that fell in the bald eagle's eye?
