Hey look, another treasure hunt. And this one, I like. The tickets seem easier to get than last time, there are in-game prizes, and there's no $50 game you have to buy if you want all the tickets. (Well, so far, anyway.)
Quick reminder: This sale lasts until July 10th, with daily sales every day. If you see something you want, and it's not a daily deal, wait until the 10th to buy it. It might go cheaper before then.

You mean the summertime one in the lower left corner of the main menu, before you even hit play? Nah, you just gotta hit most of the panels and learn to not die as often. Also, you need to die once or twice to go back for a panel or two. Like when you see two "TWO GRAND" panels. Since a reset to checkpoint only costs 250 points, just do it whenever you miss something worth more than 250.
What's really hard are the leftover Potato Pack ones.
Edit: Oh, he meant the bonus levels that you buy with tickets. Yeah, description says they're challenging, dunno if I'm going to pick that up.

I'm totally turning this into a hints thread. June 30Toki Tori: Get a Tan (Stand in all sun beams) It just looks like a bright column of light. There's no icon for it, so look around on each level. They're all in world 1, in various normal, hard, and bonus levels.
AaAaAA!!!: Air. Wind. Sun. Pain. I Am All of This, and Your Mom Makes a Fine Pasta Dinner (Complete the Summer Sun level from the main menu with full points) On the main menu, bottom left corner. You need a near-perfect run, no more than two or three mistakes. Note, though, that it only costs 250 points to respawn at the checkpoint, so you need to restart in several sections to grab the points you need. Spacebar opens the chute, open it early enough to land with about half speed.
Bit.Trip Beat: Sunbathing (Be perfect in Transition up to the first intermission) Real easy, just learn the pattern of the dots. Used to be a lot harder when it was the whole level. July 1Team Fortress 2: Escape the Heat (Jump into a pool of refreshing water while on fire) If you can't get this normally, you're not playing well enough. Just Detonate yourself into nearby water. Or play Sawmill.
SpaceChem: Science is an Indoor Activity (Beat 3 published ResearchNet assignments) You don't really need to play too much of the game before being able to access ResearchNet, you just won't be able to understand what you're doing. YouTube walkthroughs are always available, but the first several puzzles (keep hitting Next Page) are kinda easy. July 2Jolly Rover: Bon Voyage (Send a shipmate on a trip to remember) Oh god why do I even own this game. It's a terrible modern rip-off of Tales of Monkey Island: Special Edition, even down to the speech subtitle font. Anyway, if you happen to own it, it's an easy ticket. You don't have to do anything special. Once you solve the kitchen puzzle, you should have the achievement.
Super Meat Boy: Medium Rare (Spend as little time in hell as possible) Rumors say you have to beat Chapter 4: Hell in both the Light world and Dark world in less than 500 seconds total. I say fuck this game. If you're good at Meat Boy, you should have it already. If you're bad at Meat Boy like me, you'll never get it. July 3Defense Grid: Out of Bullets (Beat all 5 'Out of Bullets' challenge modes) FiveAlarm had a great suggestion if you get stuck: Use more Teslas. They really helped me on the last one. two Concussions and a Temporal near the exit path fork, and then build up a few Meteors and a LOT of Teslas to kill the shield extenders. Don't forget about the Missile towers for air units.
The Polynomial: Sunburn (Use the sun to kill an enemy) I have no idea what I did or even how to play. I changed the difficulty to Hard, shot some dudes, shot the sun to see bullets bounce off of it, then passed through the sun, and got the achievement. I'm thinking an enemy followed me through it? Dunno. That's what I've got so far. Anyone else?

July 2Jolly Rover: Bon Voyage (Send a shipmate on a trip to remember) Oh god why do I even own this game. It's a terrible modern rip-off of Tales of Monkey Island: Special Edition, even down to the speech subtitle font. I own the game because it's a terrible rip-off of Monkey Island. Anyway: Swords and Soldiers HD: Vamos a la playa - Complete Viking Campaign level 3 by killing all unitsNothing too special, you have to switch the arrow to send some troops to go both high and low. I more or less built only berserkers and used the lightning spell for massive damage (one-shots the guys in the tower) plus the healing spell (with bonus magic regen) to keep them from dying. You get gold and bonus magic from collecting them on the map, and there's plenty to go around. SpaceChemI think you can just "hack into" research net, you don't even need to do anything special. You -will- want to do the first few levels if you're new to the game, though. It's easy to get overwhelmed if you just jump into things. Flight Control HD: Nice Shades - Open all umbrellas simultaneously on the Stunt airfieldI don't know how I did this one, I wasn't playing on the stunt airfield and I don't even think I have the stunt airfield unlocked. (Maybe the 6/3 achievements are busted....?) Still, it's a pretty good time-waster game. Might be a better on a phone, though... All entriesJust in case it isn't clear, you can get an extra drawing for any achievement by sending valve a postcard with your Steam name and the achievement name

A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda: It's Getting too hot - Trick a Bomber to hit and destroy a Zytron Walker (LA) You'll need to get to stage 3 (Living Quarters) to do this one. Firstly, a "Zytron Walker (LA)" is the big blue guy that jumps at you and a Bomber is that thing that suicide bombs you, in case it wasn't obvious. There's a couple times in the stage where it's possible to get this achievement. Just get both of them in the same room, soften up the walker a bit, and then it's not too difficult to lure the bomber. If it didn't work, just leave the screen and come back, they'll respawn (you don't even need to leave the area). You'll probably also need some repair kits for the inevitable damage you'll take from the walker.
Trine: Summer Dip - Stay Underwater for 40 sec without taking damage There's an artifact that lets you breathe underwater. Otherwise, it might be possible to get the achievement by just swapping out your characters (each of the guys has their own independent breath meter). Also, the Crystal Caverns is the earliest you can go swimming, I believe.

Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter: Swimming instructor - Drown an enemy Done on the first level. When you get to the pool room, trigger one of the enemies to spawn (just grab some armor either left or right), jump in the pool to lure the enemy to the edge, then go around him and shoot him *once*. If you shoot him twice, he'll die, but once and he should fall in the pool. Then just wait and get the achievement.
Mount & Blade: Warband: Lady Of The Lake - As female character, give a companion character a great sword. Kind of annoying because you need to (1) get a great sword and (2) get enough money to hire a companion and finally (3) find a companion. It's best to do the intro missions because they're easy money and it'll help ease you into the game. In any event, go to some nearby villages and recruit some volunteers (10 silver each) and then go hunt groups of bandits until you have enough money to buy a greatsword and hire a companion. I haven't played too much but it should cost around 400 silver for both, not counting upkeep and hiring guys and upgrading guys, etc. (I'm also assuming that a low quality greatsword will work; I haven't finished it myself yet.) If you're having trouble finding companions and/or a greatsword just go from town to town (towns are bigger than villages), checking their arms merchant for a sword and tavern for a companion.
Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood: Chicken BBQ - Kill 25 chickens Super easy, there are chickens on every map, plus you get money for shooting them. Got it the third map in.
And Yet It Moves: Bat-Wetter - Heat wave in the cave! Cool down a sweating bat with a drop of water in The Great Escape Pretty easy, you just need to manipulate the bats into the room with the dripping water (just keep them with you) and then hit them with it. I managed to do it without even trying.

Beat Hazard: Striptease (Strip the turrets off 2 bosses and keep them alive for 60s) If you haven't bought Beat Hazard ultra, I'd say go through Survival until you find a spot where two mini-bosses spawn. Pretty easy, though you might have to level up a bunch first. If you bought the Beat Hazard Ultra DLC, this is super easy. Just use Boss Mode.
Zombie Driver: Summer Hot Dog (Make a barbecue of 20 zombie dogs in a single slaughter mode match) Play the first map in Slaughter Mode, pick up a flamethrower when it spawns, and find one of the large groups of dogs. You might have to kill some number until that wave hits, but it's generally easy.
Trine: Summer Dip (Stay Underwater for 40 sec without taking damage) You don't need any special items. Get to level 5. Fall into water. When one meter is almost empty, switch characters. Each water meter is 20s long, so it's very easy to get.

I gotta say, I'm really enjoying the metagame of, "Quick, learn a game to get a basic achievment." I don't really care about the prizes so much. Anyhow:
Atom Zombie Smasher: Dog Days - Rescue at least 100 people in July What a nice little game, I must say. It's a top-down zombie rescue strategy game where you direct a few units (that can't die) with the goal of maximizing the number of people rescued. I have a soft spot for indirect control and limited resource management, which this game has in spades.
Anyway, around July you *should* have all your heavy-hitters in place with a taste of the different mercenaries and how they work. It might be possible to get a bad draw (with something like dynamite, mines, zombie bait) so if that happens you may have to restart. Still, you can just retry the mission again and again until you get the necessary 100 (about 4 helicopter loads' worth), which you should be averaging at this point anyway. Generic tips: you can pause the game by pressing spacebar if you need to think something over, zombie bait is best when saved until they threaten people (and, of course, combos very nicely with mortars/orbital strikes), explosives next to people are a good way to lose people (although not to zed infection), and remember that you can move the helicopter landing zone (better to make people run some ways rather than lose a crowd to one or two zed).
Left 4 Dead 2: Stream Crosser Probably don't have to do this for this crowd, but...the finale for Cold Stream is brutal. Common don't stop spawning unless you're fighting a tank, so just keep running, and be liberal with the throwables as there tends to be a lot around.
Spiral Knights: Star-Spangled Bomber - Get Cracking! Add the Firecracker bomb to your arsenal It's 3000 crowns, one of the vendors to the left has it. You just need to have it in your inventory (not bound to you) so it's possible to just pass it around for free achievements. If you message one of us we ought to be able to track one down, no problem.
Poker Night at the Inventory: Summer of 69 - Win a hand with a 6 card and a 9 card of any suit For those of you who don't know, Tycho plays conservatively, Heavy plays aggressively, Strong Bad plays moderately, and Max plays erratically.
Galcon Fusion: Pool Party - Win 5 Rounds in Multi-player Billiards This game is also superfun, so worth the 3.40 sale price. Anyway, firstly, you will need to make a free account to access the multiplayer. This kinda caught me off-guard, so be forewarned.
From then, billiards is where the planets are bouncing around everywhere. Ideally, you'll want to move around your ships when the planets are really close, since it happens very quickly and discreetly, which tends to catch people off-guard. Otherwise, pay attention to where your opponents are attacking from, because that's where their defenses will be the weakest. Similarly, you'll want to keep an eye on which planets are most vulnerable and reshuffle them as necessary. Pay attention to the smaller planets as well, they don't pay off as much as the bigger ones but tend to go unnoticed by people, and a lot of small planets can be just as dangerous as a few big ones. Also, when you take a big planet people will usually panic and try to take it back; be prepared to defend it, or you can use it as a smokescreen to launch another attack, possibly simultaneously. Similarly, consider attacking their big planet where they just launched their attack, it might be more vulnerable. Finally, be aware that people may try to blitz your big planet at the beginning if you launch too many ships from there, which can be devastating, especially if you only start with one big planet.

Spiral Knights: Star-Spangled Bomber - Get Cracking! Add the Firecracker bomb to your arsenal 3000? Bull. Go to the auction board, buy it for 1000. Then immediately sell it for 999. Total cost: 100 crowns, after the 10% commission on auctions.
RUSH: Solar Flare - Complete the Solar Flare level To start the puzzle, find the clickable spot on the sun. Probably the hardest part about it. If you need help on the actual puzzle, in-game hint system or some YouTube tutorials.
BIT.TRIP RUNNER: Roastin' yer Marshmallows - Bump into a fire in a Bonus Challenge Play on Normal. Collect all pickups in the first stage. That'll send you to a bonus stage. Don't jump over the fire.
AudioSurf: Sunburn - Turn 21 blocks red with a single paint Choose Pointman Pro. Left click will pick up a block, right click will drop it. Fill up all your columns, and keep them filled. Once they all have warning signs on them, ride the shoulder (Lane 0 or 4) and ONLY pick up the block that turns everything red. I got it on my first song (twice, actually), you may not be so lucky.
Poker Night at the Inventory: Summer of 69 - Win a hand with a 6 card and a 9 card of any suit How they play doesn't matter. If you have pocket jacks or better, win cash. If you have either a 6 or a 9 in your hole cards, play it, but don't go crazy. If you don't have a pair or a 6 or 9, don't waste your time. Check/fold.
Worms Reloaded: Summer of 69 - Take exactly 31 damage from a worm with 100 health. Create a custom game mode with infinite teleports, fire punches, and girders, no time limit, and fall damage on. Play a local game with four human teams. Fire punch deals 30, so put a girder such that they only take 1 damage from the fall.

Nimbus: Precision BBQ - Bump the meat onto the grill on World 2-4! You'll need to climb up, then use the momentum to slingshot yourself into the vertical hole in the middle of the map. I get the feeling you'll be doing that in this game a lot...
Winter Voices: Summer's Gone, But A Lot Goes On - Achieve a 100% success in the third encounter of the prologue (departure of the father), after walking on the 'Summer Scent' Crazy indie game that also has a distinct foreign vibe to it (you know, like a foreign movie...). I'm kinda digging it, but I can see how it can turn away a lot of people with its molasses pacing and weird abstract craziness - and that Metacritic score is BS, it's based off of four reviews. Anyway, the "Summer Scent" is the orange square in the battle after you talk with your father, just walk up to that square and then finish the battle. Pretty easy, you'll get a bunch of movement and health (MP and EP, I believe) once you reach the square, so any damage you take before is negated and any damage you take after is negligible as you get some distance between yourself and the enemies. Honestly, I have no clue how -not- to get 100% success.

Or, if you are like me, you could write up a sales pitch where you try to make trading sixteen dollars of games for five hats seem like a good idea. After posting this around the place some really awesome gentleman may just happen upon it and gift you all the games for free, saying that the entertainment of your pitch was of equal value. This requires eight points in luck and a writing skill of seventy five or higher.
I now own all the Fallout (I may be missing one Fallout three DLC and New Vegas has a new one coming out soon that I probably won’t get right away). This includes the original two and tactics. Good bye, world.
