I've got all the kinks knocked out, so I can throw up a Terraria server using the dedicated exe that the devs released. It's under a MB in size, so it's relatively easy to keep up while playing. Here's what I'm thinking:
- New Characters. It's no fun when everybody's already got everything. Don't be a poop.
- Difficulty? I'd be up for doing at least Mediumcore, as that makes death actually scary, but I'm all for Hardcore too.
Thoughts?

Sounds fun, I've got the game and hardly played it but I'd like to some time. Are we going to use something for voice chat? Skype?

I'm game. It's fun to play fresh characters. I did something recently like this with some other friends, and it's makes the game very exciting. Especially at the very beginning, exploring caves w/ out a grappling hook. I think playing with our beast characters to fight one of the bigger bosses would be exciting to though.
Of course, there is always PvP...

Dunno what to do about voice. We can always hijack the Ars vent or use a steam lobby chat. I haven't got Skype, because I don't.

Skype's pretty good actually, I use it for almost all of my internet chat, voice and text. Then again, I've had this one chat going with some of my real-life friends for over a year now, it's sort of grown on us.

I don't own Terraria, what am I doing here?
One thing I like about Skype conversations is that they're waiting there for you when you log back in. It's really easy to jump back into a common hangout the way it's set up.
