So, Faded and I have been lamenting the lack of people in our immediate vicinity to play MtG with. Driving for hours sucks. So, we're thinking of being huge nerds and getting webcams to play. But it would make the investment way more worth the money if hot chicks were willing to str...
Wait. Let me try that again. It would be way more worth the money if some other nerds were to go in on this. Post here if you're interested, and Faded and I will let you know how our trials work out if we get that far.

Update: Faded, myself and another individual not in the TF2 circles have gotten webcams, and preliminary games have been fun. A little bit of trust is required, and I can't really cut Faded's deck to prove he isn't cheating, but that's fine by me.
My Skype name is Rh3nch, since presumably some plumber took Rhench. Blasted plumbers and their Koopa Troopa stomping.

Rhench, myself, and one of my non-TF2 friends just tested things out last night, and it worked pretty well. Quick rundown: Rhench and I used this camera, while my friend used a cheaper, lower quality cam. For one-on-one matches, Skype's video chat is amazing. For multiplayer, TokBox, a free, flash-based in-browser client, has decent multi-user video, but not so great multi-user sound, so we're going to try TokBox for video and Skype for sound. Of course, everything works a lot better when you have Gatherer open.  Whenever you want to play, contact me over Steam or Skype. (Skype name is fadedoasis.) And carbon, if you *really* want to play Pokemon, contact me. |
