store.steampowered.com/sub/949/This game is better. Once my computer crashed and I lost 2 hours of progress; my first thought was "HELL YEAH, I get to do it all AGAIN!". Oddworld is the shit. I'm cutting this short so I can go get eaten by fleeches.

But it's on discount in the pack Just thought I'd bring it up here because this is a thread about a puzzle platformer game and Abe's Oddyssey and Exoddus are the 2 best puzzle platformer games I know. And If you buy it in the pack, it's only $7.50 each

it is. I spent 20 minutes on that one hunt in the demo where as you move time moves with you; then my brother came up and told me I could triple jump off the same enemy. its almost nintendo Abe's Exoddus hard. Actually, Abe's Exoddus is only that hard when you make it that hard. At my last save, I was 3 screens above the maximum height you were ever supposed to get in one level as unarmed Abe (not a mind-controlled (by Abe), flying, grenade-toting semi-robotic Slig soldier). It took me 45 minutes to traverse this extremely small space. I tried for 2 hours to get back down, and I haven't made any progress at all. Fun tho.

Is it just me or is Brain freaking hard? The game itself isn't that hard. The hard part is trying to wrap your head around all the crazy stuff you can do with time control. It's the only game I know of that actually uses time as another dimension. Actually no, I take it back. most of the stars are really hard. Oh, and Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus were two really great games ruined by terrible controls. I keep installing the games cos I remember the good bits, then uninstalling it a day later because of the controls :(

Most all of the Stars require you to do stupidly ridiculous things. I positively refuse to wait hours for that stupid cloud to move.

And that star is the easiest one. There's one above the screen in the part where time is linked to your horizontal position that's ridiculously hard to even figure out how to get, let alone actually getting it.

That cloud actually moves?! So THAT'S how you do it! And by the way, I take it back. After buying and beating the game I decided that none of the puzzles were really very hard; just bloody brilliant. Aside from the cloud thing, I beat them all pretty easily... except one puzzle puzzled me for over 15 minutes before I quit and came back the next evening to beat it in moments. It was that one with the falling ladder, the ring and the 2 pads that make you immune to time. Also that wait-for-the-cloud-to-move thing. I considered waiting it out to see what happens, but I decided that that's a ridiculous thing for a puzzle and scolded myself for even thinking that they'd make a puzzle like that. It barely even fits with the theme of the game. Oh, you ARE talking about the 2 overlapping clouds at the end of the epilogue, right?
And hey, I really like the controls for Abe's. The trick is to use the numpad for speech, the arrow keys for movement and the left side of the keyboard for 5 (the most important "speech" command), z, x, c and spacebar.
Lastly, where are you seeing these stars? I haven't noticed one yet, although I HAVE seen things that could make a good puzzle but for the lack of an ultimate objective.

Nope, it's in World 2-2, I think. The stars are the super secret hidden garbage. There's no way to tell that they even exist.
And I know that one's easy, it's just stupid.

The stars are the super secret hidden garbage. There's no way to tell that they even exist. Actually parts of the star puzzles reveal themselves on a couple of levels. Like, you go to the top of this ladder and you can see it. But once you find one or two, it's pretty much off to the internet to locate the rest.

hard.
It was almost as bad as kirby tilt n tumble for the gameboy color. Did you know if you throw a gameboy hard enough it shuts off?

Right, but how are you possibly supposed to tell they're collectible? I figured it out by the constellation in the sky in front of the house. The cloud star was a little silly; it was kinda fun figuring it out, but the time required was a bit unnecessary. The others were nice additions to the game though; it was great being rewarded for trying to break the game by getting to places I didn't think I should be, only to find nice little presents waiting up there.
