I've had several occurrences of the game crashing for no apparent reason. It minimizes to desktop, and if I click on the taskbar icon, I get a black screen and looped sound of whatever the last thing I heard was. I can fix it by ctrl-alt-deleting and end task on TF2.
But I'm not sure what the cause is. It's happened on a nearly full server, and a nearly empty one. Both on MKWEA. I'll let you know if it happens again or happens elsewhere.

I just got something similar in L4D. But that one fixed itself without needing a restart. Though L4D has been acting weird a lot for me lately.

It's a bug with the HL2/source engine. It happens to me every blue moon as well but especially on map changes. My 'best' guess is it's a problem with RAM being used but I'm not sure.

Docs, are you certain that it's something general and not specific to MKWEA?
Carbon, upgrading the OS is not an acceptable solution. Your comment has been deleted.

Well I'm not 100% sure of Rhench's particular problem but the same thing has happened to me before in every source engine game.

Thanks, Docs_Fox.
If anyone else has experienced this problem (in any game, on any server), please post. I really want to be certain that it's not MKWEA causing this.

Well I'm not 100% sure of Rhench's particular problem but the same thing has happened to me before in every source engine game. I can confirm this. I'm not sure whether it's a memory leak or what, but it does seem to affect the Source engine itself - once in a blue moon I'll see the same thing. Definitely not MKWEA-specific.

Definitely not MKWEA-specific. Thank Zeus. Well, now that we're certain this isn't a MKWEA issue, this thread will be closed.
