Note: You can't contribute actual items that change gameplay, but different skins for existing items or what you think future items could be. They're not going to let the public try tweaking with stats.

I have meager 3D modeling skills. If I could texture (which I could learn to do), I would be able to scrape something together eventually. I would need original ideas though, and in that respect I am lacking.

You should make sunglasses or otherwise front headgear for all the classes.

I was joking around with Jeziah by putting the snipers sunglasses on the medic. Anyway, I was playing around with the scouts hat so I could see how VALVe liked to do it, eventually I reached a point (and moved it to the heavy's head) where I had reworked the mesh (optimizing and improving, with some shape changes thrown in) to a point where it almost felt like I had completely made it from scratch. If I had any abilities at all in UVW wrapping (or unwrapping as it would be) I would make this a gray hat with the Soviet hammersyclestar on the front and submit it. Too bad I am completely helpless when it comes to UVW wrapping and don't know anyone who could help. Edit: Ok, I have slightly figured this out, I think. I still don't know how to get the texture I made with the unwrap to actually work... Also, here is just a comparioson shot of the changes. I only really stole the shape of the brim. Edit#2: Oh, hey! Now if I can just make a good texture... Edit#3: Why not? I made this last night but forgot to post it, kind of hard to keep it at a reasonable polygon level but I think I got a pretty good balance, just need a bit of mesh polish and a texture. I'm wondering if I could make a partnership with someone who can make good textures.. If you know anyone that may be willing to help (until I teach myself) I would be willing to split the model ownership 50/50 (unless I make a medic hat, I would want to keep that one). Edit#4: Almost done this pyro snorkel, I need to learn jiggle bones so I can make the airpipe (witch is all that is left besides some optimization and a texture) bounce about. Edit#5:Finally got it under 800 total polygons (the mask was a pain to cut down, I had wasted quit a few too many on it). That is about as good as I'll get it as it is right at about 793 polygons seeing as VALVe wants everything kept under 800. I wish I had more left for a better mouth peice, oh well. Now I have two finished hats, and a half done pipe I forgot to do anything with today. All of wich still would need a better UVW unwrapping (wich I could teach my self by around wednesday) and textures (where I would need to get someone else to help). Edit#5: Not much (other then a bit more refining), but after a lot of wasted time with textures I ended up scrapping I just wanted to slap some place holder colours on it and upload it.

Ka bump! Submitted: (this isn't the most up to date material, the colours were tweaked a bit more before I sent it in, I just never took anymore pictures and am to lazy to right now) In progress: Only thing I could think of to do for medic that hasn't already been done. Based on the engineer goggles, took forever to reshape it to the medic's head. Any sugestions on how to make it look more mad sceintist-ish? I have a max of 200 polygons left so nothing really big, I'm trying to figure out how to add a ridiculous amount of extra lenses without making it look really stupid. Maybe learn how to jigle bone the hinges as well.
