This seems pretty cool, but has it been stated what exactly you'll be able to trade? I assume hats but are some items out of the question like medals?

You probably won't be able to trade noncraftables. I assume the rest is fair game, however.

If the extra Polycount pack isn't El Gringo heavy I am going to cry.

That is nice. Right before I left (over a week ago) I crafted another hat that I want to trade away. Seeing as it is the noble amassment of hats and I already have a towering pillar >:[

I want the towering pillar of hats. I have a Scotsman's Stovepipe which I would be willing to trade for it. If there is a lack of interest I will consider other offers.

I'm going to open the trading board when trading actually comes out. Please refrain from making deals right now, as many things will change and people will get new items within the one month* before the Polycount Pack is released.
*Valve time.

I don't know that we actually need a whole board for trading, just a stickied thread would probably be fine.

I've actually been messing with a Google Document for it that will eventually go public. I hope it will work the way I want it to. If it doesn't, I'll end up doing a forum-based system similar to the way my college Magic: The Gathering club trades cards. It's actually quite efficient.

Well, VALVe has given trading a forum subsection all to itself. We my as well follow suit? I also see that threads about hat trading are not being locked so, unless all the moderators are out of the loop on this, I doubt you will not be able to trade hats.

And if you need to look at your backpack outside the game, I have found this useful: www.tf2items.com

Also, please don't edit anything that isn't your own column! oops, I did. I added a slot for my 3 refined metals way down at the bottom. That's 1 unit of hat potential energy! Don't worry I formatted everything nicely...

I fixed everything. I also added a note on the home tab about messaging me before making changes.
The new row is now "Refined Metal."

Bumping this thread so it's easier to find (unless the spreadsheet is elsewhere?).

You should be able to bookmark the Google spreadsheet directly...

I think Xadera meant so others could find it. :-)
By the way, everyone should really keep their section of the spreadsheet updated.

Umm... I'll update once every few days >. > I'm trading so much, I would have to update every hour to keep track of all the hats, most of which people here don't seem interested in anyways XD

I don't know how google spreadsheets work, but would it be possible to use negative numbers to represent wanted items?

The way this spreadsheet works, you're not supposed to represent wanted items. You're supposed to look for people who have those items, and ask for trades. Negative numbers screws up the "Total" columns on the left. Besides, if people are allowed to place what they want, they don't have much motivation to ask for trades. :-)
