People have been occasionally complaining about massive lag issues with the server. Since the only lag issues I experienced have been "my router's a bitch", I'm going to ask for some more information. Please post in this thread.
Information I need from you:
Description of lag issues How often they happen Any patterns you've noticed General physical location (State should be fine)
I'm going to talk to the hosting company about this and see if we can figure it out.

Don't take any comments from me to heart. I have ping issues that comprise most of my problem. I lag everywhere, just depends on the time of day.

Faded, I noticed lag issues for myself and discovered it was because my rate setting was extremely low. Upped that to 30000 and i was good. I heard KungFu complaining last night and the same fix resolved his issues. I'll start suggesting to people to up their rate if they mention it while i'm on.

rate 30000; cl_cmdrate 66; cl_updaterate 66; cl_interp 0.015;
^^^Fixes the majority of "hitching" or "choppy gameplay" complaints.
My settings are correct but, I get lag from time to time on MKWEA. Most of the time it's a 1-2 second pause that coincides with incoming voice chat. I get more spikes after a recent map change than I do later on in a round.

I've been getting complaints that aren't just hitching or choppiness. "One second I'm on the first point, the next second I'm on the fourth. Or I'm jumping between floors"
Please don't post "I'm not getting any lag issues." I realize that not everybody has issues, that's why I'm asking for specific information from people who *are* having issues. like physical location.

I'm getting a lot of visual lag, snapback (suddenly I'm where I was several seconds before), and audio lag. Some of this can be attributed to the game, as it's been happening since the Uber Update (or maybe the laser update), but I'm not entirely sure.
Most recently it was on Thunder Mountain, prior to capturing the first checkpoint. It seems to mostly happen when people are talking (the time I thinking of I had a loop of Faded's voice saying something about a Spy, I think), but that's just a guess, I don't have hard data to back that, just anecdotal.
