Okay, so this has been bothering me ever since Goldrush came out... BLU Stands for Builders League United, and RED stands for Reliable Excavation & Demolition. So why is it that on every payload map, it's BLU pushing the bomb and not RED?

The companies RED and BLU are real demolition and construction companies, each owned by much larger, evil corporations. If you look around the maps, you see the names of many other small companies, also owned by the large corporations. Red Bread, Imperial Mining, Biggs Steel Rods, Regal Plumbing, etc.
Between them, these large corporations happen to own nearly all the land and resources needed to take over the world. The corporations hire very specialized workers through the RED and BLU companies, and secretly put them on missions to steal enemy intelligence, take enemy missile-storage areas (cleverly disguised as granaries) by force, disable enemy plans to take action, or protect your missile while it takes the time to launch.

I see I see, so you're saying that the two teams are like corporate espionage squads.
So I guess the Heavy's gun gets marked on the finances as a $400,000 toaster?
